News:
Living in the country has benefits and
inconvenience. We have no cable for TV or the internet in the
area and we were content with a slow and expensive telephone line to
access the world wide web. In June,
Hans Koomen provided some equipment
and his expertise to hook most of our computers to a network connected
to a satellite internet service. It was a good deal since the
cost is equal to what we were paying for a phone line and a dial-up
service. So many good things can be searched on the internet and
it is an extension of our library. On June 17th,
Fr. Martin and Br. Gabriel attended
the General Chapter of the American Cassinese Congregation in Atchison
KS.
Br. James Cronen
celebrated his 80th birthday on the 19th. "Ad multos annos!".
Coming Events:
Dedication Day will be
Sunday, August 12 with Mass
at 10 AM followed by a
brunch and then
music in the
Chapter
Room
around 12:30 P.M. This is a special occasion when
we thank
God that we are here and thank all the people who have helped us be
here.
We invite you to join us in thanking God for the blessings you have
received
especially in the past
year.
