Mount Saviour Monastery

November 2011
News:
On November 2nd. the monks gather in the cemetary to remember those who are buried there.  This year, Br. William was the last monk in this resting place.  The next day, Fr. Martin had prostate surgery.  He is still at the hospital for therapy.  On Nov.8th, Fr. John and Fr. Richard from Weston Priory came to pay him a visit and meet the community.  On Nov. 11th, the community went to the hospital to celebrate Fr. Martin's feastdayBr. Antonio spent a few days at the hospital for tests regarding his heart condition.  Thanksgiving Day is celebrated with a festive meal with all the guests in the refectory.  Advent began early, this year, with the changes of the new Sacramentary.  It was a source of distraction rather than an improvement to the liturgy.  Like most things in life, we will get used to it.
