News:
Our two visiting monks from Vietnam celebrated their name's day: Fr.
Philip on the 3rd. and Br. Dominic Savio on the 6th. The
annual Damasus Winzen Conference was given by Professor Edward Hahnenberg
on the liturgy. The shearing day, May 26th, attracted a large
crowd and the work was less hectic with the help of many volunteers.
On May 29th, Fr. Patrick Mundy, a retired priest in residence, had
heart surgery and recuperated quickly. On the last day of the month,
we received Randy Larkin as postulant and he became the youngest
monk at 24 years old. With three monks of Christ in the Desert, we
are now13 monks who hare the various tasks related to our monastic life.
