From Febr. 1-5, Fr. Joseph Gabriel attended the annual meeting
of Abbots held , this year, at Prince of Peace Abbey in San Diego CA.
On Febr. 7th, Br. Joseph went to Clayton GA to visit his brother
James Janeczko who had an advanced cancer. A few days after his return,
Br. Joseph was informed that his brother had died. On the 11th, Fr.
Patrick Mundy left for Plattsburg NY where he will enjoy his retirement
after helping us with his priestly ministry. Shrove Tuesday is always
a free day to relax. Some monks went to Ithaca for an outing and
visit a museum. At the end of the day, we reminisced with a video
on what happened 10 years ago and 20 years ago. In 1993, we had the
worst blizzard on the East Coast. This year, the snow never landed
heavily in our area. On the 15th, Br. Francis went to visit
his family in South America. At the end of month, we replaced the
reading at the evening meal with music.

Sunday, March 10th at 6:00 p.m. The monks will sing Vespers
at Grace Episcopal Church in Elmira
followed by supper and Compline.
Holy Week: Thursday: March 28, Mass at 5:00 p.m.
Good Friday: March 29, Celebration of the Lord's Passion at 3:00
p.m.
Easter Sunday: Paschal Vigil and Mass at 5:00 a.m.(No mass at 9:00
a.m.)
Lambing Season: April 15 - May 10
Damasus Winzen Conference: Sunday, May 5th, 2013 after Mass.
The lecture will be given by Dr. Maxwell Johnson, Professor of Liturgy
at the University of Notre Damae. He will speak on the Constitution
on the Liturgy and the Renewal of the Liturgy in the Churches.
