Mount Saviour Monastery

News:
The Portery was renovated by Br. Francis featuring a large medal
of St. Benedict carved by Br. Dominic Savio, new chairs and new
rugs. Br. Francis returned to his monastery, Christ in the
Desert. On June 8th, Br. Justin, Br. Luke and Br. Michael
spent a few days at the Abbey of the Genesee for a series of lectures on
Lectio Divina. Br. Luke is the official guest master.
Reservations by e-mail is the preferred way to contact him. If he
is not near the phone, messages may be left on his answering machine.
On June 16th, Fr. Joseph Gabriel and Br. Gabriel went to St. Vincent's
Archabbey for the general chapter of the American-Cassinese Congregation.
On Monday the 17th, we had no priest scheduled to say mass: we had our
first communion service after Lauds. On June 20th, Br. Dominic
Savio went to Nazareth College to attend a seven week immersion course
in English On the feast of St. John the Baptist, June 24th, some
monks went to the Rockwell Museum of western art in Corning for a tour
led by Mary Colucci.
