Mount Saviour Monastery

May 2016
News:
The month of May is very busy with the end of the good lambing season: 226 babies from 126 ewes.  On May 10th, all the babies have to be vaccinated and the ewes are drenched to kill internal parasites. On May  27th and 28th, the shearing days, the guest houses were filled with guests and families that wanted to help. On Saturday, we served lunch in the refectory for the guests and the helpers, At the end of the day, we enjoyed a substantial meal with the guests and reminisced the highlights of the day.  On the eve of Corpus Christi, May 25th, Fr. Neil Arce, priest of the diocese of Beaumont TX, was received as a novice and took the name of Br. Paschal.  He will share the priestly duties with Fr. Donald Curtis, a retired priest of the Rochester diocese.
