When the counsel of the English Province of the Subiaco-Cassinese Congregation
was here for their annual meeting, it was suggested that we send our Junior
members for a period of formation to the English monestaries. Br.
Luke left on May 31st. for a six week period. Br. Dominic Savio left
on June 4th to catch a plane in New York for Vietnam to visit his Cistercian
monastery and his family. On June 23rd. Br. John began a visit to
England to get acquainted with the monasteries of our Congregation and
will come back with Br. Luke on July 10th. The men's guesthouse was
closed for 2 weeks while the lounge area was painted and covered with a
new carpet. Some groups use that area for meetings and as a dining
space when they do their own cooking.

Sunday, Aug. 14th. Dedication Day: Mass will be at 10:00 a.m.
followed by a brunch and musical entertainment
