We accommodated a group of seminarians here from Erie, PA, for the first weekend of November as we celebrated All Saints and All Souls Days. As is our custom on All Soul’s Day, we gathered as community in the Monk’s Cemetery to pray for our deceased members and bless their graves.
Our Observer returned home on the 4th after living among us for a month. Please remember Richard in your prayers as he discerns a possible vocation with us.
On the 5th, Br. Matthew flew to Denver for a week because of a medical emergency in his family. We ask for prayers for his family also.
Alfred University students were with us for the second weekend of the month.
We had snow flurry activity on the 12th as Brother Bruno made the first trip this fall with sheep to be delivered for auction.

You may have noticed changes to our website. In mid-month we changed the hosting service for our site. Please bear with us as we continue a long process of adding content and working out the bugs as we go.
Brother Bruno took 20 more sheep to auction on the 19th.
Brother Joseph returned from California on the 20th after an extended stay in California since August. We also ask that his family be remembered in prayer.
On the 22nd we woke up to the first snow covered ground of the season. While we received only a few inches, there were other areas with 20 inches for their first snowfall. Because it was an elevation event, precipitation fell as all rain down below us.
On the 23rd the rams were put together in the fields with the ewes for a four-week period as a new sheep breeding cycle begins again.
We woke to a white Thanksgiving day on the 28th.
The end of the month brought the beginning of Advent and blessing of the Advent wreath in our refectory.
