Mount Saviour Monastery

September 2011 News:
Fr. Peter Dat, Cistercian from Vietnam, spent a few weeks with us and prepared some documents for two of his confreres who are planning to spend two years among us.  On September 16th, Abbot Philip and Fr. Christian from Christ in the Desert monastery spent a couple of days and promised to send some monks for a short period of time.  Fr. Martin was moved to the hospital after experiencing pain due to a fall; his pelvis was cracked in two places.  He will need a few weeks of physio-therapy to mend his condition.  On September 23rd. John Zimnicky became a postulant and was given the name, Br. Luke.  Br. John is directing the apple harvest and we have many varieties of apples for sale in the Shop.
