    News:
For the first  time in many years all the fruit trees were barren   The heavy crop of last year and the mild winter seem to be the cause of this rare phenomenon.  The town of Big Flats cleaned the ditches along the road and paved the one mile road.  Our main expense of the month was the repair of our road to St.Gertrude's (1/2 mile) and a new layer of asphalt.  Towards the end of the month, Br, Pierre went to  Canada for his annual family visit and spent 24  hours with 4 college classmates and their spouse to reminisce events of 60 years ago.
